Wine cork characters in a jiffy
It doesn't take much to transform junk into kewl projects! You don't have to invest a lot of time, money or know how into creating upcycling magic. For my recent Family Day Crafternoon at the North Vancouver City Library, I collected 300 wine corks for participants to reimagine. We transformed them into crazy characters and creatures.
I started out with a quick sketch of my character...
Then gathered the pieces... A couple of pom poms for the hair and nose, a set of googly eyes, felt for a tie, cork for the feet and hands and a wine cork for the body.
Here's my wine cork character... Such a fun and easy DIY for kids! And my final project actually looked like my sketch!
He's one good looking dude, isn't he?
Another crafting with 'crap' win!
