Back-2-School Crafternoon with NVCL and Billy Would Designs

Last Saturday, I faciltated an upcycling workshop in partnership with the North Vancouver City Library. We had our first Crafternoon guest host - Adea from Billy Would Designs. She led a couple of super fun upcycling projects using scrap wood. It was an awesome workshop - we even hit a record. We had 75+ participants - the biggest Crafternoon yet!

This was the project of the day using the various bits of wood, veneer, etc.

Loads of familiar faces - these two are craft devotees and always show up to kick craft butt plus help me clean up.

Happy crafters...

More familiar faces popped in to make kewl stuff.

Yup - we had loads of fun!

Another one of my craft devotees who also helps with just about everything... Clean up, inspiring other participants and just being plain ole super fun.

So many cutie patooties at the Crafternoon.

Getting messy is A-OK...

There was a photo booth as part of another event at the library so this guy made hangable frames... He was beyond thrilled with all the goodness happening at North Vancouver City Library!

A doll house and a swanky car.

Someone was feeling very pretty with her DIY bracelet and necklace.

Mom and daughter craft date.

Another uber happy crafter... Her Dad came up to me and thanked me for an awesome afternoon plus told me how wonderful the Crafternoons are. Wow... I was feeling the love!

Oh man... Bling is where it's at.

A cute headpiece just cause.

So we have our resident origami creator and now we have our resident artist... She's a regular. Crafternoons are da bomb.

Phew! It was a FAB day of crafting and a bit tiring... Love my crafty peeps!

Big thanks to North Vancouver City Library for hosting and Vancouver Foundation / Neighbourhood Small Grants for supporting our community of upcyclers. And Adea from Billy Would Designs for being my first guest host.
