Back to School Crafternoon at NVCL

I was back at 'er last month. In my FAV spot for Crafternoons - the North Vancouver City Library. Love my NVCL peeps and all my North Van crafters. We upcycled wallpaper samples into cases and bags plus made bookmarks and fridge magnets. We got into the back to school vibe and crafted like crazy.

My NVCL upcycling workshops are paid for by a Neighbourhood Small Grant via Vancouver Foundation. The grant covers the cost of supplies for 4 Crafternoons. Such a kewl program!

I had a bunch of my regulars plus some new participants. We had over 30 peeps for the workshop.

Anything goes in the Crafternoons... Like funky pins and jewelry.

Crowns and wands turned out to be the projects of the day. Here's our Princess of the Crafternoon.

She even granted me a wish!

Friends were made... Young and old, crafters and non-crafters helped each other make upcycling magic happen.

I met these guys at my Homesteader's Emporium workshop. Loved seeing them at the Crafternoon!

One of my regulars... She's always up for a craft date.

The renegade crafter came and made bookmarks - wallpaper sample origami. Awesome!

New crafty peep... She was very industrious!

An art piece out of 'junk' - scrap vinyl, upcycled wallpaper... Why not!

An old skewl camera and car made from repurposed recyclables...

BFFs + crafting = awesomeness!

Plus a teeny tiny bit of messiness...

A few of my favourite peeps... I printed photos from previous upcycling workshops to give out. These guys made frames out of 'junk' for their photos.

And a secret map... To 'somewhere'. Crowns, wands and a map. Talk about upcycling magic. Adventures can be created with just about anything... All you need is imagination and some crafty mojo.

Big thanks to all my NVCL crafty peeps. You guys are da bomb!

Now it's time to get back into the swing of things... I'll post photos from my adventure with Roly next then get my craft on for upcoming workshops, the book launch and other crafty goodness that comes my way.
