Vancouver Foundation's NSG Summit

Well I've been dating Vancouver Foundation for awhile now. I fell in love with them ages ago. And it just gets better! The people, the NSG program and now the NSG Summit. They sure know how to make a girl love them.

Yesterday I attended the NSG Summit, a one day event to bring together coordinators, Resident Advisory Committee members and project leaders representing all the Neighbourhood Small Grant neighbourhoods. The Summit included opportunities to connect and share information, as well as attend skill building workshops plus a couple of inspiring speakers.

Here I am with keynote speaker Al Etmanski holding my free book. Yup he gave everyone a copy of his book Impact: Six Patterns to Spread Your Social Innovation. He gave a fun and insightful talk. I actually took notes! I never do that.

Here's Al and I with my new BFF Benelda. I made 10+ new peeps. I love that!

I didn't take more photos. Wish I had! I met so many amazing people plus really enjoyed the two guest speakers then the break out session. So grateful for the summit. I feel reinvigorated!

Big thanks to Vancouver Foundation and Trish at North Shore Neighbourhood House for the invite. Here's to more great things and to the Neighbourhood Small Grant program!
