Adventuring & finding crafty inspiration

Last Sunday I met friends for breakfast at SweetSalt Bakery at 19th and Fraser Street. Afterwards I walked down Fraser along Broadway then down Main through Chinatown then through Gastown until I got to Waterfront Station. Was a great trek around since I stopped into a bunch of my FAV haunts.

First was Spool of Thread (101 - 649 East 15th Avenue). Man they have tons of gorgeous fabric...

They also have loads of kewl classes...

Loved their DIY desk designed with old wood rulers!

And my big purchase were these random buttons for $0.10/each.

A few stores down is Collage Collage (621 Kingsway). Collage Collage is one super sweet store. There's books, art, stationery, games...

And classes! Definitely want to check out one of their adult classes.

Yup - crafts rule everything around me!

I had to buy this letterpress card by Ilee Papergoods. So perfect!

At Main and Broadway you'll find Bird on a Wire (2535 Main Street)... Great place to find local artists and crafters. Such a FAB place for finding crafty inspiration!

Here's Blim (115 East Pender Street), an art and craft facility in Chinatown. Another hot spot for workshops.

The Window Community Art Shop (1 East Hastings Street) is another nifty store for crafty goodness. Definitely worth checking out!

I love dropping by Ă–rling and Wu (28 Water Street)... Cards, wallpaper, home decor...

And then my last stop was Meadow Gifts and Apparel (104 Water Street) - more handmade kewlness.

Such a fun afternoon of adventuring around and checking out my crafty hot spots.

Definitely check out one or all of these local spots!
