'Play with Words' Culture Days Crafternoon

Yay! Another super fun Crafternoon this weekend! Back in the hood at the North Vancouver City Library for the Culture Days upcycling workshop 'Play with Words'. We had about 20 participants at the workshop - a few newbies and a bunch of the usual suspects. Was the perfect mix!

Once the intros were done and we reviewed the sample projects, it was time to get crafting! Burlap was cut, paint was chosen... Most participants created burlap garlands.

Loved seeing everyone's chosen word - 'inspired', 'hope' and 'tacos'...

Here's a project in process...

My crafty peep Christie from Creative Expressions Art Nights showed up to make new friends and to craft!

And one of my crafty regulars is this cutie patootie, 'JoJo'...

He made a crown for his grandson. Yup - we have fun in our Crafternoons!

Our most favourite craft renegade, Jose... JoJo and Jose have promised to be there for next month's Crafternoon on October 25th!

Sampson, Tahi and Dave showing off their projects... These guys are Crafternoon devotees. Love it!

Surprise, surprise! I haven't seen Heather and Madeleine in ages. They brought some serious craft mojo with them yesterday.

This is going in Madeleine's room...

She brought her friend Becky who made this for her Mom...

Here's Christie with her completed garland. Be sure to check out Christie's Creative Expressions Art Nights. I'll be presenting an upcycling project on October 8th.

Thanks everyone for joining me yesterday for an awesome Crafternoon... Big thanks to the North Vancouver City Library for providing the space, Culture Days for promoting free, fun creative happenings throughout Canada and lastly Vancouver Foundation for the Neighbourhood Small Grant.
