Baby bootie time - part two
Yup... I made more baby booties! I delivered these two pairs to my coworker who was thrilled with them. Yay!
Such a great project for repurposing wool sweaters or jackets from the thrift store!
Next was stitching up a few more for friends. Once you start making these... You never stop! Here's the pattern I'm using thanks to Heather Bailey.
I was able to cut out a bunch of booties out of the thrift store wool jacket.
Then I started pinning felt applique designs to the toes.
One down, two to go!
I decided to make a couple with owls on the toes. Everyone loves owls! Here's my 'pattern' for the owl.
I went with purples & bright blues...
Here's my first pair with the owls...
And my second pair...
The wool jacket was perfect for the booties! I love working with grey and adding a lot of colour either in the felt applique design or in the embroidery thread.
And while I'm at it... Another A Beautiful Mess how to collage.
Next is to prep for the upcycling workshop at Our Social Fabric on Saturday. It's going to be fun!
