The Reclaimers, a recycle art exhibition

Hey crafty peeps! I'm hoping you'll keep your fingers crossed for me. I submitted a few upcycling projects to an upcoming art exhibit at the CityScape Community Art Space in North Vancouver. It's called 'The Reclaimers' and will celebrate the creation of art made by recycling materials. I'll know in 2-3 weeks if any of my pieces made it into the show. Pretty darn kewl! I never thought to try out for a gallery show. Maybe something I should consider in the future. Who knows!

One of the projects I submitted is my cabinet made from an upcycled wood pallet and some table legs from the Sechelt dump. It's one of my FAV pieces. So cutsie!

In other news I'm applying for another Neighbourhood Small Grant in partnership with the North Vancouver City Library and I've signed up to be on the Resident Advisory Committee. It's all about giving back - sharing IS caring.

And this aft I'm making buttons out of wine corks then a bunch from a vintage apron I picked up at the thrift store. It's all happenin'!
