A thrift store candle holder, a wine cork and a paper clip

I found this craft project online by One Charming Party via Pinterest. I love it... So simple, cheap and looks nifty! Tonight I took a trek to the Salvation Army. I was actually trying to find old cork boards to update but found a funky candle holder that I would try this project with.

Here's my $4 candle holder... A bit pricey but I took the plunge!

I trimmed the edges of the wine cork so it would sit firmly in the candle holder.

Then I created a hole at the top to push the paper clip into.

Here's the final project - it took me 10 minutes from beginning to end. Pretty neat idea!

Here's my other find from tonight's trek - cement candle holders. Funky! They were $0.99 each. Score!
